Just one more month!!

The highlight of my trip = Coachella. 

The plan is to cruise around LA/Cali for a bit, then head back to my 'home' NY and catch up with all the beautiful people that I've missed so much.  

Mid Week Inspo

So I worked the Yeojin Bae Sale on Saturday.  For those of you who went, I hope you got there early, as it was madness!

I interned with Yeojin back in 2009, and was more than happy to help out when she asked. 

Got a couple of amazing pieces!  I'm not a dress person, and I've never owned a whole heap, but I can now say I have a great small collection of gorgeous Yeojin Bae dresses.

Her dresses and designs in general are elegant, tailored and sexy, but never tacky.  Always flattering on a women's body in the best way possible, showing just the right amount of skin.

I would take photos to show, but not having them on a body, just doesn't do them justice.  And unfortunately I'm an ammature blogger with no professional photographer to snap me up everyday looking like perfection... and taking pictures of myself is just plain awkward...

Jack and Lazaro

 

I am in love with Jack and Lazaro also known as Proenza Schouler.

This collection was a HUGE standout for me going through a couple NY Fashion Week shows.

The detail, construction, fabric, technique, inspiration, thought process...I could go on and on.

They really put thought into the range, experimented and pushed the boundaries and explored different areas and techniques of garment construction.

This is what I love about fashion. 

 Not the commercial, fast fashion side, but where art meets fashion.  Where they merge and become something fantastic, inspiration, inspiring.

Where you can see the creative juices seep out of the designers and showcased on the runway.

I miss this.  I miss being inspired by beautiful and exciting things like this.

Desk inspo

I have my own sewing room set up with an industrial machine and large pattern making table, but I always dread to sew or do anything in there because the space is so uninspiring.
